• Names of all applicants will appear on the application form, allotment letter, and sale deed.

• All applicants are treated as co-borrowers if applying for a loan.

• All are equally responsible for EMI repayment, even if one is the primary earner.

• Loan eligibility increases as incomes of applicants are combined.

Ownership & Registration

• Joint applicants automatically become co-owners (names appear on the sale deed).

• Stamp duty & registration charges are shared according to ownership ratio.

• Female co-ownership sometimes gives stamp duty concessions (varies by state).

• In case of sale or transfer, consent from all co-owners is required.

• A nominee should be declared to avoid disputes later.
